BioArie is an up and comming artist preparing herself to burst into the comics scene. Born and raised in the Midwest, she now lives in Dover, NJ where she attends the Joe Kubert School of Cartooning and Graphic Arts.
She originally began as a fine artist and studied at UMKC completing her BA in Arts and Sciences with a Major in Studio Art. She has also worked for many years as a caricature artist at both private parties and in amusement parks. It was at an amusement park, that she met a comic book artist and friend that incouraged her to attend meeting for the Kansas City Comic Creators Network. This group of artist often met several times a month to share there work and to encourage others to create comics.
The group became a large influence on Arie. She had always had a love for animation and cartooning, but being apart of the CCN pushed her into a new idea of what it truely was to be an artist and tell stories. After many years of looking for a job in her field, with no success, she chose to move to NJ and learn the art of comic book illustration.
Aries' biggest goal is to create comics and illustrations geared toward women (other than manga) that they can enjoy on an adult level.
